Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team in the Senior/Special Interest Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a short-term temporary position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact on promoting Marana as a premier destination for business and leisure, as well as outdoor enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to recreation staff to ensure the best delivery of recreation programs.
  • Work at community events, signature events, senior programs, sporting programs, and other recreational programs as needed.
  • Lead assigned senior and special interest programs, prepare and set up for program activities, maintain facilities and equipment, and perform other duties related to conducting programs.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Perform light administrative work by making and receiving phone calls regarding programs.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must pass fingerprint clearance background check.
  • Must pass the Town of Marana background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6 months experience working as a recreation aide or in a closely related field in multiple settings with different age groups.
