Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Financial Aid, Operations and Systems to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Deputy Director of Financial Aid in administering various federal and institutional financial aid programs and processes. This position requires a strong understanding of financial aid regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Deputy Director of Financial Aid in administering federal and institutional financial aid programs and processes.
  • Conduct need analysis and verification on student aid applications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing financial aid programs.
  • Counsel students and families regarding financial aid options and processes.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial aid operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve financial aid processes and systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on financial aid software and systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial aid administration, with a strong understanding of federal and state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial aid software and systems, including PowerFAIDS.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with financial aid software and systems, including Slate and Jenzabar.
  • Knowledge of Title IV regulations and compliance.
  • Spanish language skills.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, exempt position. The regular hours for this position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Holiday, weekend and evening work hours may be required. Travel may be required. Regular hours may vary and exceed 40 hours per week due to needs of the College or division.
