Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Oneida Nursing & Rehab Center. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents.

About the Role:

  • We offer a competitive salary range of $68,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Functions

As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including:

  • Directing nursing assistants in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Verifying that all nursing personnel comply with their respective job descriptions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of resident care.
Charting and Documentation

You will also be responsible for:

  • Completing and filing required forms and charts upon resident admission, transfer, or discharge.
  • Reviewing telephone orders from physicians and recording them on the Physicians' Order Form.
  • Reporting discrepancies noted concerning physician's orders, diet changes, charting errors, etc., to the Nurse Supervisor.
Nursing Care Functions

In addition, you will:

  • Perform physical assessments through observation, inspection, palpitation, percussion, and auscultation.
  • Consult with resident physicians in providing resident care, treatment, rehabilitation, etc., as necessary.
  • Make periodic checks to confirm that prescribed treatments are being properly administered by CNAs and to evaluate resident physical and emotional status.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current state RN license.
  • Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • Good leadership qualities.
  • Organized and detailed work performance.
  • Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
  • Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility.
  • Ability to perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements outlined below.
