We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Fund Accounting team at SS&C Technologies Holdings. As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for preparing and processing transactions and financial reports, while exercising sound judgment regarding the application of accounting principles to various complex transactions.
About the Team:
Our Fund Accounting team is responsible for providing high-quality financial reporting and accounting services to our clients. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that values expertise, innovation, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Processing: Prepare and process transactions and financial reports, including capital activity, income and expense accruals, and investment activity.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare management fee calculations and supporting schedules, as well as update distribution waterfall (carried interest) models.
- Reconciliations and Journal Entries: Perform reconciliations, process journal entries, and maintain accurate cash balances.
- Audit Support: Support the year-end audit process, collaborating with the team, client, and auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
- Client Interaction: Actively interact with clients and counter-parties, including legal counsels, auditors, and tax advisors, to meet key deadlines.
- Analytical Review: Conduct analytical reviews of daily and monthly results to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or related field; CPA and/or MBA is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years' experience in Accounting, with a focus on alternative investments, Private Equity/Real Assets experience, or Hedge Funds, is a plus.
- Skills: Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other comprehensive accounting concepts; knowledge of investment partnerships is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with advanced Excel skills required.
