Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Operations Technician at Landus Cooperative. As a key member of our agronomy and grain operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers promptly and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers
  • Assist in all aspects of elevator operations, including receiving and unloading grain, grain drying, and measuring grain inventory
  • Operate train locomotive and obtain training certificate on locomotive operations
  • Identify potential maintenance problems and complete necessary repairs
  • Assist in fertilizer and chemical operations, including measuring inventory and reporting to supervisor
  • Provide customer service by loading chemical product orders and pumping bulk chemicals into customer tanks
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and/or Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Understanding of seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and in-season time commitment
Preferred Skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Two to five years related experience
  • Ability to obtain Class A CDL with air brake, tanker, and HazMat endorsements
