Job Summary:

Beverly Community Hospital seeks a highly skilled Stroke Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for effectively coordinating the Stroke Program, ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain compliance with external regulatory requirements and internal benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure efficient care delivery, cost-effectiveness, and expected clinical outcomes.
  • Provide specialized nursing knowledge and expertise as a clinician, educator, and consultant to medical/nursing staff, patients, and families.
  • Develop and implement education programs for staff and patients.
  • Conduct quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to stroke care.

Requirements:

  • Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certification.
  • Evidence of leadership, teaching, creativity, initiative, communication skills, and change process.
  • Five years of acute care experience, preferably in critical care, cath lab, or stress test experience.
  • SCRN certification and previous stroke experience within the last 2 years.
  • Neuroscience nursing experience and experience in caring for and assessing stroke patients.
  • Experience in coordination and education.
  • BSN required, Master's Degree in Nursing, Clinical Specialist or Nurse Practitioner preferred.
