We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Insurance Litigation Attorney to join our team at State Farm Careers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial, utilizing exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures. Outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload are essential requirements for this role.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Handle a high-volume caseload from discovery stage through trial
  • Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, evidence, and trial procedures
  • Utilize outstanding research abilities, written and oral advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage a busy time-sensitive caseload
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and excellent academic credentials
  • An active license to practice law in New York and be a member in good standing with the state bar
  • 1-10 years of insurance defense litigation/trial experience
  • Experience working in a paperless environment
  • Experience directing support staff on clerical and administrative matters related to lawsuit handling
  • Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $125,625-$160,000 per year, with potential yearly incentive pay up to 16% of base salary. Our employees enjoy a congenial, team-oriented, and professional work environment with skilled support staff. As a hybrid role, you will spend some time in the office and virtually, with opportunities to work from home (if desired). Work arrangements may change over time based on business needs.
