A Medical Nutrition Therapist at WVU Medicine is responsible for providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical dietetics and the ability to work effectively with healthcare teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical nutrition therapy to patients
- Complete physician-ordered consults and instructions according to standards of care
- Document patient information in medical records
- Work with physicians, nurse managers, and nursing staff to improve medical nutrition therapy to patients
Requirements:
- Registration with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
- Licensure through the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians or applicable state licensure
- State criminal background check and federal background check if required
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of clinical experience as a registered dietitian
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
