Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, such as mechanical ventilation and vasopressors.
- Perform advanced cardiac life support, including defibrillation and cardioversion.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Document patient care and progress in the medical record.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Arizona or compact license.
- 3 years of experience in ICU nursing, with a focus on surgical or medical ICU.
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The ICU at Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 32-bed unit that provides care to critically ill patients with a variety of diagnoses, including trauma, surgical, and medical conditions. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including GE monitors and advanced life support equipment.
