Job Title: Welder Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks to meet the demands of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine the sequence and methods of assembling components.
  • Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Operate various welding equipment and tools to produce high-quality welds.
  • Perform rework as required to meet quality standards.
  • Support production system initiatives and participate in continuous improvement events.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
  • Inspect assembly/components for conformance to specifications.
  • Trim, file, grind, sand, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any equipment issues to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Knowledge of welding processes and techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
