Job Title: Welder Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Aerotek. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks to meet the demands of our manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to determine the sequence and methods of assembling components.
- Read and interpret work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks.
- Operate various welding equipment and tools to produce high-quality welds.
- Perform rework as required to meet quality standards.
- Support production system initiatives and participate in continuous improvement events.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and objectives.
- Inspect assembly/components for conformance to specifications.
- Trim, file, grind, sand, deburr, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Follow established safety, environmental, and quality policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any equipment issues to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
- Knowledge of welding processes and techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality awareness.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
