Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic tests in accordance with established guidelines.
- Collect arterial blood samples and manage equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Implement respiratory care protocols based on thorough assessments.
- Administer medications safely and monitor their effects on patients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress and needs.
- Educate patients and their families on self-care techniques and health management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor inventory of supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
- Flexibility to assist in various departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Valid state license for Respiratory Therapy.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Additional certifications may be required for specialized areas.
Physical Requirements:
