Position OverviewAs a travel nurse in the PCU, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex medical needs. This position involves working 48 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care in a Progressive Care Unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and technology to support patient care.
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- A minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience in a PCU or similar setting.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
- Experience with ventilators and high-acuity patient care.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
The PCU is a 36-bed unit focused on providing specialized care for patients with neurological and respiratory conditions. Nurses in this unit are expected to maintain high standards of care while adapting to the dynamic needs of the patient population.
