Job Summary

Achen-Gardner Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our Equipment team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing equipment issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair work on company equipment, including heavy equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Equipment Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop solutions to resolve them.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that all equipment-related activities are carried out in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor and Manufacturer Management: Manage relationships with vendors and equipment manufacturers, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain equipment-related reports and metrics, and communicate equipment-related information to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in equipment maintenance and repair.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, preferably in a construction setting.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical skills, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Software Experience: Experience using equipment maintenance or repair software preferred.
