Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist

As a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Technologist at Allina Health, you will perform and assist with procedures in diagnostic and interventional radiology, including cardiovascular, peripheral endovascular, and structural heart procedures. You will work under the direction of a radiologist, providing timely and quality services to patients while maintaining a safe, efficient, and economical environment. You will interact with patients to welcome, explain, and respond to questions and concerns during and following the procedure.
Key Position Details:
1.0 FTE, 10-hour day shifts, and every fifth weekend rotation. Shifts: 7:00am- 5:30pm. Will have emergency call requirement for evenings, weekends, and holidays. New grads welcome to apply. Benefit Eligible.
Principle Responsibilities:
Completes procedures in compliance with physician orders and department guidelines. Identifies patient with two identifiers. Documents accurately all needed aspects of the procedure. Observes and communicates with patient, responding to needs. Maintains safe patient environment in procedure area. Performs procedures with high degree of accuracy. Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of all diagnostic equipment. Maintains proficiency in monitoring, circulating, and scrub role, anticipating MD needs. Gathers all relevant information to assist in interpretation of images. Verifies all imaging has appropriately transferred to imaging storage and retrieval system. Provides accurate clerical function. Uses Excellian (electronic medical record). Understands the storage and retrieval system. Ensures all documentation is complete post procedure. Communicates with supervisor and team. Reports problems, issues, or ideas. Provides assistance, ideas, and information to support the work of others. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Vocational or Technical Training graduate of accredited School of Radiologic Technology required. 2 to 5 years in Cardiovascular Laboratory 2 years strongly preferred. Registered Technologist - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required registered upon hire. BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required upon hire and ACLSBLS2AH required within 180 Days.
