Role Summary:
The Paramedic Technician plays a crucial role in delivering cardiac monitoring and diagnostic testing. Responsibilities include applying orthopedic splints, collecting patient specimens in accordance with established protocols, and providing wound care based on clinical standards. This position also serves as a vital resource for physicians and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care. Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining the inventory of medical supplies and equipment to facilitate effective patient treatment. The role involves assisting with patient transport for various needs, including testing and admissions.

Shift: Evening Shift (11 PM)
Schedule: Variable Days
Training: Candidates must be available for a comprehensive six-week training program.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Prior experience in an EMT role is preferred.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS and EMT-B certifications are required; candidates must be active on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) or hold a current Virginia EMT License/Certification.
• Training: Candidates must commit to a six-week orientation upon hiring.
• Skills: Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English. Basic computer skills are necessary.
