Position Overview:

The Office of Cyber Security within the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) is seeking a dedicated cybersecurity leader to oversee our cybersecurity infrastructure team. This role is pivotal in guiding a skilled group of security experts tasked with researching, implementing, and maintaining security solutions across the state's network to safeguard sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and enhancement of the state's security infrastructure.
  • Conduct comprehensive security gap analyses to identify areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the procurement of advanced security technologies, including but not limited to next-generation firewalls, web application firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and data loss prevention tools.
  • Coordinate proof of concepts for new security solutions.
  • Manage budgetary and purchasing responsibilities related to cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Provide expert security guidance for new agency projects, ensuring alignment with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports within the cybersecurity team.
