Mammography Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Specialist to join our team at Radiology Associates of Tallahassee. As a Mammography Specialist, you will be responsible for performing mammography procedures for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform mammography procedures for diagnostic purposes
  • Correlate clinical history with examination to obtain diagnostic results
  • Familiarity with clerical procedures in mammography concerning requisitions, charges, codes, and scheduling
  • Communicate effectively and cooperate with other staff members and radiologist
  • Follow safety standards and use radiation protection when operating radiologic equipment
Requirements:
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Completion of accredited course in Radiologic Technology and maintain current Florida HRS licensure
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Must maintain ongoing continuing education requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years experience in radiology imaging modalities
  • One year of mammography experience preferred
