We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at VSP Vision. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient experiences by welcoming and communicating with patients, creating an efficient patient flow, and ensuring flawless patient transitions throughout the eye care experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Satisfaction: Prioritize a high level of patient satisfaction for all patients by warmly greeting patients upon entering, and completing the check-in and check-out process.
- Communication and Coordination: Work collectively with staff, doctors, and patients by documenting patient information, updating records, and collecting patient payments.
- Administrative Support: Answer and triage patient correspondences, respond to inquiries in a timely fashion, and maintain patient records/files to ensure accurate record keeping, security, and confidentiality of files.
- Scheduling and Coordination: Coordinate scheduling of patient appointments necessary to maintain patient flow, confirm all patients, and prepare charts for scheduled patients.
- Special Projects: Work on special projects, cross-train in different departments, and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Administrative Experience: One to two years of administrative experience with at least one year providing administrative support.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiries.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving, negotiations, and decision-making skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills to ask appropriate and relevant questions to identify customer needs.
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
