At Johnston-Willis Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's mission.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate documentation to ensure accountability and precise charging.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care needs, including education, according to hospital and endoscopy policy procedures.
  • Administer medication pre, intra, and post-procedure.
  • Demonstrate a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing Endoscopy Procedures.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of reprocessing endoscopes, accessories, and automatic washers.
  • Establish a physical environment conducive to the delivery of safe and efficient patient care.
  • Assume responsibility for all coverage, weekly hours worked, and assigned committee tasks.
  • Assume responsibility for professional development through continuing education and inservices.
  • Anticipate and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in hospital information systems, including Meditech.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse
  • Registered Nurse Diploma
