Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives and programs to ensure goals are achieved within budget, on schedule, and with the necessary quality and functionality. Core functions include:
  • Leading global interdisciplinary teams to fulfill project goals
  • Facilitating the launch of new products through the Hussmann NPI gate process
  • Assisting in process enhancement initiatives alongside the Hussmann PMO Leader
  • Driving cross-functional accountability for NPI programs to deliver innovative products and processes for the Retail sector; Evaluating program resource needs and proactively collaborating with sponsors and functional leaders to address resource shortages promptly to ensure project success
  • Presenting NPI/NTD Programs during regular Program Review sessions; Managing senior leadership expectations through early identification of risks/issues; Engaging program sponsors proactively for their support
  • Evaluating Retail NPI/NTD Program deliverables, risks, and timelines; Utilizing critical path management techniques to oversee Schedule, Scope, and Resource requirements; Leading scheduling and planning efforts to create detailed resource-loaded project plans, and maintaining these plans throughout the project to provide accurate planned vs actual vs forecasted data to stakeholders
  • Leading efforts to manage global resources, and forecasting demand versus capacity to ensure project performance aligns with business objectives and revenue commitments

  • Exhibit effective consulting, negotiation, and persuasive skills to diverse audiences, fostering constructive confrontation and issue resolution; Present information clearly and accurately
  • Possess strong business acumen; Ability to drive strategy, influence practices, processes, and policies that yield competitive advantages; Continuously strive to deliver value through process enhancements
  • Proactively ensure customer needs translate into program requirements, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and advocate for the resolution of issues important to stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong skills in leading interdisciplinary teams with the ability to influence and create action without direct reporting authority

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in project leadership
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline, or Bachelor's Degree with equivalent technical experience is required
  • Experience in two or more functional areas; Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and/or Operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, with hands-on skills required for daily use
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects is essential
  • Experience working within a stage/phase gate process is required
  • PMI (Project Management Institute) PMP certification is preferred
  • Global project management experience is advantageous
  • Experience in manufacturing product implementation is a plus
  • New Product Development experience is beneficial
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Able to travel up to 5-10% of the time
