Flatbed Driver

Job Title: Flatbed Driver (Straight Truck)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flatbed Driver (Straight Truck) to join our team at Pratt Corrugated Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting waste and recyclable materials from various outside locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-and post-trip inspections of company vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
• Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with Route Supervisors and Customer Service Groups to ensure seamless route operations.
• Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure safe and efficient vehicle operation.
• Fulfill assigned route pick-ups and deliveries, managing route loaders and hydraulic controls as needed.
• Empty trucks at established disposal sites, cleaning and maintaining vehicles as required.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment.
• Hold a valid Class A CDL and possess a satisfactory driving record.
• Meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT and possess a demonstrated ability to follow directions.
• Be capable of performing all essential job functions, including heavy lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year CDL driving experience.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Previous trash collection experience desired.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and maintain a professional attitude and conduct.
• Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• High degree of safety awareness and safety discipline.
