We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at i4 Search Group. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting families throughout the birth process.
Responsibilities:- Maintain the highest standards of care in the delivery room.
- Assist physicians and midwives with all aspects of pregnancy and childbirth.
- Monitor fetal heartbeat, contractions, and administer medications as needed.
- Provide RN care for patients, including handling intubations, defibrillations, and other medical procedures.
- Communicate with doctors and patients to ensure timely updates on test results and treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and report lab findings to doctors.
- Enter patient data into digital medical records systems.
- Manage patient check-in, perform triage work for doctors, and assist with initial insurance paperwork.
- Perform tests on newborns and guide mothers on infant care and recovery.
- See expecting mothers in prenatal visits, provide family support, and teach childbirth preparation classes.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an RN in a clinical setting.
- Active RN license within the State of practice.
- Current certifications (variable depending on the facility).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the birthing process to ensure proper care for expecting mothers.
- Demonstrate sound decision-making in emergency scenarios based on patient conditions.
- Experience with labor surgeries, especially cesarean sections.
- Knowledge of nursing care methods, procedures, and emergency care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work in a stressful environment.
- Available to work 12-hour day and night shifts.
