Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare a variety of food items including fruits, vegetables, sandwiches, and salads according to established recipes and portion sizes.
  • Serve meals to students and staff while adhering to specified serving sizes.
  • Set up and restock food items as necessary for regular meals and special events.
  • Follow all guidelines regarding food storage, labeling, safety, and dietary requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas.
Expectations for Staff:
  • All employees are required to:
    • Use disposable gloves while handling food.
    • Wear appropriate attire including black, brown, or khaki pants, a collared shirt, and non-slip shoes.
    • Avoid wearing nail polish, false nails, or dangling jewelry in food preparation areas.
Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in institutional or residential food service is required.
  • Experience in accommodating food allergies and dietary modifications.
  • Reliable attendance is expected, especially during adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand recipes, instructions, and schedules in English.
  • Strong communication skills with colleagues and supervisors.
