Position Overview
Job Title: Maintenance Specialist
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Role Summary

The Maintenance Specialist is a skilled technician responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment related to hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing environment.

The equipment managed includes injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, process water systems, compressed air systems, and automated paint lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and oversee apprentice technicians.
  • Identify and rectify safety concerns related to equipment and facilities.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on systems such as injection molding machines, paint lines, and process water systems.
  • Utilize knowledge gained through education and experience to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues throughout the manufacturing facility, leading to effective root cause corrective actions.
  • Install, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Journeyman card preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is essential.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems is preferred.

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to gather and analyze information to make informed decisions.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 20 on the Cognitive portion).

Travel Requirements
This position typically does not involve travel.
