Job Title: Ultrasound Tech-Full Time

Location: Florida Medical Center

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Tech to join our team at Florida Medical Center. As an Ultrasound Tech, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of ultrasound examinations with a high level of competence and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
  • Performs all facets of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, carotid, vascular, and small parts.
  • Ensures accurate and complete documentation and communication with radiologists regarding clinical history and direct observation from all technical personnel.
  • Must demonstrate good organizational skills in order to maintain efficient work flow and adaptability in accommodating emergency and add-on exams.
  • Required to participate in on-call coverage for the modality as part of the essentials of the job requirement.
Customer Service Responsibilities:
  • Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital.
  • Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment.
  • Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians, and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful, and considerate manner.

Position Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved program of ultrasonography.
  • ARDMS (AB) and/or (OB/GYN) required.
  • Credentialing in ARDMS (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RVS) required within 89 days of employment.
  • Current BLS certification required.
