About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Civil Designer to join our Environmental Business Line in the Raleigh, North Carolina office. As a key member of our team, you will support the design of various solid waste disposal facilities, earthen dams, and other civil, geotechnical, and remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop engineering drawings and prepare stormwater and grading plans
  • Complete construction quantity takeoffs for cost estimating
  • Perform civil engineering design calculations for earthwork
  • Prepare reports and develop technical specifications
  • Review construction submittals
Requirements
  • BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Strong ability with AutoCAD Civil3D, including developing grading and surfaces, developing cross-sections and profiles of proposed designs, and preparing engineering drawings
  • Familiarity with storm water design calculations or erosion and sediment control plan preparation
  • Experience performing site inspections, investigations, or construction quality assurance
  • Experience in solid waste or coal combustion residuals (CCR)
