LHH Recruitment is seeking an experienced Commodity Trader to join our client\u2019s team. This role involves sourcing goods and services from international markets to support our client\u2019s operations and competitive positioning.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 or more years of global purchasing and/or commodity trading experience from international vendors. Our client offers fantastic benefits, a low turnover organization, and opportunities for growth as the culture and growth of the organization is a large focus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for international markets.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on their ability to supply products in accordance with client requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with international suppliers.
  • Monitor international market trends and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
  • Manage the financial aspects of procurement, including budgeting and cost analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding international trade.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commodity trading, sourcing, purchasing or procurement, with a focus on international markets.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP or SAP software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
