Job Summary:
Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer, Reg., PT to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing inpatient and outpatient cardiac ultrasound testing, including 2D echo/Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform complex cardiac ultrasound testing, including 2D echo/Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms, to provide accurate diagnostic information for patients.
- Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the comfort and safety of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients undergoing ultrasound testing.
- Document and provide preliminary exam findings, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient procedures and results.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, or lead sonographer, contributing to the overall success of our diagnostic imaging department.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of a registry-approved ultrasound program or equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) standards.
- Experience: None required, but prior experience in cardiac sonography is highly desirable.
- Licensure/Certification: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Credential: Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred.
