The United States Air Force is responsible for the upkeep of extensive networks of fuel and water pipelines that are vital to our operational capabilities. Water and Fuel Systems Maintenance specialists play a crucial role in overseeing the plumbing infrastructure, wastewater management systems, liquid fuel storage facilities, and natural gas distribution networks across all installations. These experts are extensively trained in various disciplines, including operational principles, construction methodologies, and fire suppression systems, ensuring that our bases function efficiently while adhering to the highest environmental standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for a position in the Air Force, candidates must meet specific criteria related to their background, health, and other standards established by the Air Force, the Department of Defense, and federal regulations.
Minimum Educational Background

A High School Senior (age 17 or older)*, a high school diploma, a GED, or 15 college semester hours.

*High School Students may initiate their application process at the conclusion of their junior year.

Non-graduates or those without alternate credentials must achieve an AFQT Test score of 65 or higher on the ASVAB.

ASVAB Score Criteria
47 Mechanical (M) and 28 Electronics (E)
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for operating government vehicles
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
  • Normal color vision
  • Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
  • Must be at least 17 years old and not exceed age 42 at the time of enlistment
