About the Role

Barnhart Crane and Rigging is seeking a skilled Rigger/Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and rigging heavy equipment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Align and anchor cranes and equipment to ensure safe and stable operations
  • Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear
  • Connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures using bolts, shackles, and clamps
  • Clean and dress machine and surface components to ensure optimal performance
  • Control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces
  • Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment to prevent damage and ensure readiness for use
  • Manipulate rigging lines and hoists to move or support materials, steel, and concrete
  • Select the appropriate gears, cables, and shackles based on load size, facilities, and work schedule
  • Signal or direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure the safety of workers and materials
  • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability before engaging in hoisting and lifting
  • Operate within DOT laws and regulations, including the ability to pull FLAT RGN, Step Deck, and Double Drop Loads
Requirements
  • Excellent mechanical reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance
  • Flexibility with your schedule, ability to travel, and willingness to work overtime
  • Pass a drug test, fit for duty assessment, and background check
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Experience with axle weight distribution
  • Flexibility to travel and communicate effectively with team members
  • CDL - CLASS A and DL - DRIVER'S LICENSE
