Job Summary:
Evaluate patient treatment needs and plan effective treatment programs to improve communication skills and overall quality of life. This role requires a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, or swallowing disorders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Select and administer appropriate evaluations to assess patient needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based techniques and prioritize problem areas.
  • Perform treatments according to established plans, utilizing appropriate procedures, equipment, and techniques within scope of practice.
  • Maintain a therapeutic rapport with patients, educate them on established goals, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care.
  • Prepare written reports and charges according to hospital guidelines to facilitate payment for services.

Career Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required, along with a NYS SLP license and experience in dysphagia treatment. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice in New York State as an Audiologist, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist, and hold a Certificate in Clinical Competency (CCC-SP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Salary: $31 - $48.66 per hour, Pay Grade: RT1.
