Job Title: Technical Lead - Full Stack Java Developer

Saxon Global is seeking a seasoned Technical Lead - Full Stack Java Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Owning the team in technical guidance and mentoring junior team members.
  2. Coordinating and leading research into new technologies independently, as part of a team and with the Architecture team to make judgments and recommendations for future releases.
  3. Contributing to a teamwork environment by actively participating in peer code reviews, design reviews, and being available to help others when needed.
  4. Providing and taking leadership in translating business requirements into detailed designs, considering the best strategy to ensure design meets performance, security, usability, and reliability and scalability requirements.

Requirements:

  • 10 years of development experience with 5 years of technical leadership experience at a Team lead level.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Excellent knowledge of REST concepts and developing REST APIs using Spring Boot with Tomcat.
  • Object-oriented analysis and design experience.
  • Excellent understanding of Java 8 capabilities, lambda, streams, and functional interfaces.
  • Excellent SQL and database concepts to work with large databases.
  • Good understanding of Cloud engineering concepts.
  • Good aptitude to quickly grasp newer concepts, learn on the fly, and apply them in day-to-day work.
  • Smart analytical skills to derive meaningful inferences from data sets and then apply those inferences to resolve business challenges.

About You:

  • Ability to understand custom client data specs, apply them to the data feeds, and understand the nuances where these data feeds differ from the Product standards.
  • Document these differences and work with SMEs/Other team members to solve these differences.
  • Understanding business problems, brainstorming on solutions to tackle these problems, and breaking the solutions down into easy-to-follow action items.
