Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Allied Health Solutions. You will work as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight, and perform interventions with basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced emergency medical care to critical and emergent patients
  • Work as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight
  • Perform interventions with basic and advanced equipment typically found on an ambulance
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Document patient care and billing information accurately and efficiently
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • West Virginia Office of EMS Paramedic Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Emergency Vehicle Operations Course completion within 6 months of hire
  • National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification within 1 month of hire
  • Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification within 3 months of hire (if hired after 7/1/2020)
  • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) or Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification within 3 months of hire (if hired after 7/1/2020)
  • Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers (PEPP) certification within 3 months of hire (if hired after 7/1/2020)
  • Advanced Medical List Support (AMLS) certification within 3 months of hire (if hired after 7/1/2020)
  • One year of experience as a field EMS provider (EMT, AEMT, and/or Paramedic)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate level degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary educational institution
  • National Registry of Paramedic Certification upon hire
  • West Virginia Certifications in the following: CCT, BCCTPC: FP-C or CCP-C; and UMBC CCEMTP
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, AHA preferred
  • GEMS (Geriatric Education) Certification
  • Two years of experience as a field EMS provider (EMT, AEMT, and/or Paramedic)
