Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Weatherford. As a vital part of the patient care team, you will perform a variety of diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations.
Requirements:
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist certification.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
- Associate Degree or Certificate in Respiratory Therapy.
Medical City Weatherford is a 100+ bed acute-care hospital serving Parker County and surrounding communities. Our medical staff represents 30+ medical specialties, and our health care services include inpatient and outpatient care, medical-surgical and emergency care. We are a designated Comprehensive (Level II) Stroke Facility and Level IV Trauma Center, and our hospital is a Level I Neonatal Facility and a Chest Pain-Accredited facility.
