As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing junior engineers, leading project-specific construction, engineering, and equipment specifications, and reviewing electrical energy calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage up to 2 or 3 junior engineers, providing guidance on issues faced during engineering design, construction, and placed in service of projects
  • Manage project-specific construction, engineering, and equipment specifications
  • Review electrical energy calculations
  • Assist in the development of new projects by analyzing conceptual designs and RFQ specifications
  • Coordinate with operations engineering when reviewing designs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technology

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related degree
  • Knowledge of power systems, ideally acquired through specific coursework, job experience, and internships
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience managing a diverse team
  • Experience with HV/MV electrical infrastructure (substations/switchyards, distribution systems, transmission lines, transformers) and construction of such infrastructure
  • Ability to concurrently coordinate and manage multiple projects with various teams
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Some travel required (up to 25%)
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree or Professional Engineering license
  • Experience managing and building multi-disciplined engineering teams
  • Experience with HV/MV electrical equipment for use in the Renewable Energy field
  • Practical experience in construction of HV electrical systems and associated Renewable Energy construction
