The Reliability Maintenance Specialist is tasked with achieving organizational objectives, spearheading Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives, and executing continuous enhancement strategies for equipment across production cells.
In this capacity, you will leverage your expertise to tackle challenges, formulate and implement both tactical and strategic goals, and drive outcomes that influence both immediate and future business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with Production and Lean Teams to facilitate the transition to TPM across the site.
- Develop and nurture a TPM Team dedicated to enhancing Operational Availability for individual Production Cells.
- Guide the implementation of TPM Program Element Strategies tailored for each Production Cell.
- Lead Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Projects and Initiatives focused on Safety, Impaired Work Orders, Preventative Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, and TPM/Project Work Orders to enhance the overall value of the Maintenance Organization.
- Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) projects within cells to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Utilize comprehensive knowledge of technical disciplines and analytical skills to execute policies and strategies related to machine health.
- Partner with the Machine Utilization Team to conduct Dimensional Verification studies of machinery and equipment functionality.
- Work closely with production team members to enhance manufacturing equipment and ensure superior product quality.
- Employ Problem Solving Tools, including Predictive Technology, to assist experienced Technicians in diagnosing Equipment Maintenance Issues.
- Engineer innovative concepts and solutions to bolster Overall Machine Health.
- Manage and schedule TPM work orders in collaboration with Production Cells.
- Identify and develop training programs to enhance technician skills and capabilities.
- Act as a liaison between Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Maintenance to improve equipment design and functionality.
- Assist the production Manufacturing Engineer in the design, construction, and procurement of equipment, focusing on spare parts, maintenance strategies, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for process and equipment enhancements.
- Utilize expert judgment to propose alternative solutions for complex manufacturing equipment challenges, collaborating with external sources to achieve world-class solutions.
- Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, leading projects and resource allocation to enhance cell equipment performance.
- Communicate performance expectations and manage sensitive issues effectively.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution or 6 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to plan, communicate, and execute effectively.
