Music Royalty Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Music Royalty Administrator to join our team at David C Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering music royalties, analyzing sales data, and ensuring accurate payouts to artists, producers, and publishers.

• Administer music royalty systems, including project setup, sales file loads, and recoupment costs.
• Analyze and interpret large amounts of sales data to provide clean and formatted data for enterprise and label royalty systems.
• Maintain cross-reference tables to assist in data preparation and ensure accurate reporting.
• Prepare and review sales files for loading into label royalty systems for US and UK processing.
• Manage JDE work order system for music marketing and origination jobs to ensure complete and accurate reporting.
• Perform accurate setup and maintenance in accordance with contract abstracts and licenses for label services music products.
• Prepare basic journal entries from royalty data and provide backup to Integrity team Royalty Specialist.
• Assist in review and resolution of inquiries from royalty payees and other royalty projects as assigned.

• Formal education: 1-2 years of music royalty experience in lieu of Accounting or Music Business degree.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years involving the administration of music royalties is desired.
• Specialized knowledge/certification: Solid skills using Microsoft Excel and Word, experience with JDE system and analytics software preferred but not required.
