We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Includ(Ed), a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing inclusive early childhood education and childcare. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of young children with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct services to children in their homes, fostering their motor, sensory, and cognitive development.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with parents and other professionals.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify specific therapeutic needs.
- Provide individualized treatment sessions, focusing on enhancing children's functional abilities in their home environments.
- Educate and train parents or caregivers on strategies to support their child's development and address specific challenges.
- Collaborate with a transdisciplinary team to co-create and facilitate early intervention-focused curriculum.
- Document and maintain accurate records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and administrative tasks.
- Communicate regularly with parents/caregivers to provide updates on their child's progress and involve them in goal-setting and treatment planning.
- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- CA State licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with young children in educational or therapeutic settings.
- Knowledge of best practices in inclusive education and early childhood development.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
