About the Job:

This role involves physical labor, attention to safety protocols, and teamwork to ensure the successful completion of demolition projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing manual demolition tasks such as dismantling structures, removing fixtures, and breaking down materials using hand tools and power equipment.
  • Assisting in preparing demolition sites by securing safety barriers, removing obstacles, and implementing safety measures.
  • Safely handling and disposing of demolition debris, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Operating hand tools, power tools, and small machinery effectively and safely.
  • Collaborating with other demolition team members, contractors, and project managers to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Segregating and disposing of waste materials responsibly, following proper waste management practices.
  • Performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in construction or demolition work is advantageous but not required. Willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in various weather conditions.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential hazards.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Punctuality and dependability in fulfilling work assignments and responsibilities.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus but not mandatory.
