Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Sonography Specialist, you will prepare patients, gather essential information for procedure completion, and conduct sonographic examinations in accordance with established protocols. Throughout the examination, you will monitor patients' conditions and inform the physician of any unusual findings.

  • Prepare accurate records to facilitate timely results.
  • Evaluate the quality of images and processes as necessary.
  • Complete a data sheet with relevant patient information following the examination before forwarding it to the radiologist.
  • Be available for on-call duties after regular hours to fulfill departmental needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered or registry-eligible with RDMS or ARRT.
  • Preferred two to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including at least two years in a hospital setting.
  • ARDMS eligibility; certification preferred.
  • Associate Degree.
  • This is a PRN position with weekend and holiday availability required.
