Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing imaging procedures with precision, including the administration of radioisotopes.
  • Maintaining and calibrating laboratory and radioisotope equipment.
  • Ensuring patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality during all procedures.
  • Adhering to state regulations and maintaining department quality assurance procedures.
  • Providing training and support to new staff and students as needed.
  • Keeping all necessary credentials and continuing education credits up to date.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • Certification: NMTCB or ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Licensure: NYS Department of Health License NMTCB; CT certification or ARRT; NM plus CT or DX certification.
  • Education: An Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine certificate program.
  • Experience: Previous experience is advantageous, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
