OVERVIEW

Hendall Inc. is in search of a Healthcare Records Communication Specialist responsible for reaching out to designated healthcare providers to obtain medical documentation associated with Medicare billing. This role is crucial for ensuring that Hendall can assess the accuracy of payments in accordance with Medicare regulations, coding standards, and billing practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Engage with the medical records departments of assigned providers, articulating the intent behind the medical records request and outlining the available methods for submitting records, including electronic, fax, or postal options.
  • Confirm the accuracy of the provider's contact details.
  • Dispatch formal medical record request letters to the respective providers.
  • Conduct follow-ups with providers as necessary to guarantee timely submission of records.
  • Manage incoming calls from providers inquiring about the status of medical record requests.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Familiarity with various Medicare provider categories, including physicians, diagnostic labs, ambulance services, durable medical equipment suppliers, acute care hospitals, long-term care facilities, skilled nursing establishments, home health services, and hospice care.
  • Exceptional active listening and articulate verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient record-keeping capabilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Competent computer literacy.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
