Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Hematology Specialist at UMMS Providers/Physicians, your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing comprehensive history and physical assessment for patients admitted/scheduled to service/practice setting
- Ordering, obtaining, and interpreting appropriate diagnostic tests
- Establishing medical diagnosis based on history, assessment, and diagnostic findings
- Designing, ordering, and documenting appropriate treatment plans/plans of care including prescriptions of medications based on a comprehensive review of HPI and diagnostic results

You will work closely with physician colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between pediatric and adult hematology care. You will also participate in performance improvement activities aimed at improving clinical outcomes and minimizing variation, and contribute to various department and division meetings and organizational initiatives.

About the Position

This is a full-time position, requiring weekend, shift work, holiday, on-call, and overtime may be required. Regular exposure to patients possessing infectious diseases in the work environment requires observance of 'Universal Precautions' by wearing gloves, goggles, and mask. Compensation includes a pay range of $54.34-$77.08 per hour, and a comprehensive benefits package.
