Responsibilities
  • Assist registered nurses in providing resident care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Take call for staffing coverage as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in your role.
  • Delegates tasks to non-licensed nursing personnel, promoting effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Assist in quality assurance data collection, analysis, and implementation of corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to infection control initiatives, adhering to all regulations and protocols to maintain a safe environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree not required; a high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Hold a current, valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in North Carolina, with proof of renewal submitted.
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric nursing, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
  • Obtain CPR certification annually and attend in-service training and staff meetings as required.
  • Maintain the ability to make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems, recognizing the potential consequences for patients and staff.
  • Show proficiency in problem-solving, multitasking, and performing various duties within a fast-paced environment.
  • Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures, adhering to local, state, and federal regulations.
