Responsibilities:

* Install, test, and inspect fire protection systems and equipment
* Study and understand blueprints and building graphics
* Perform detailed work and have a thorough knowledge of piping systems, equipment, and materials used in the fire protection industry
* Maintain a professional appearance and attitude when working with customers and the public
* Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or OSHA 30/10 certification
* Possession of or willingness to obtain certifications in sprinkler/standpipe systems, backflow, fire alarm, and portable fire extinguishers
* 3+ years of experience in commercial construction
* Working knowledge of computers, tablets, and smartphones, and basic skills in Microsoft products

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

* Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction in adverse weather conditions
* Work may be performed in ditches and elevated work platforms
* Vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to wear approved eye protection
* Ability to hear bells, alarms, whistles, etc.
* Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and without assistance
