Position: Music Leader

Location: Fort Bliss, TX

Employment Type: Part-time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and deliver musical services as a Music Leader for the community chapel's contemporary Protestant worship.
  • Guide the music teams in alignment with the directives of the Senior Pastor/Chaplain.
  • Facilitate music teams in accordance with the worship traditions (both contemporary and traditional) of the chapel's services. This includes selecting appropriate worship songs for congregational participation, offertories, and special musical pieces.
  • Participate in music team rehearsals as scheduled, ensuring readiness for services.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a music leadership role, particularly in contemporary praise and worship music.
  • Familiarity with the Christian Faith (Protestant) and an understanding of the musical customs of contemporary Protestant worship.
  • Proficient in playing at least one of the following instruments: keyboard, piano, guitar, or bass, with the capability to direct, produce, and arrange music as necessary.
  • Ability to read sheet music and perform instruments with appropriate tempo, rhythm, and registration for a large audience.
