Café Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Café/Barista to join our team at The Wave Bar & Restaurant. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing high-quality food and drinks.

• Greet customers, answer their questions, and take orders and payments
  
• Prepare and serve food and drinks to our guests
  
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked workspace and dining area
  
• Update displays and continuously expand your knowledge of food and beverage quality controls, preparation methods, and presentation
  
• Field customer complaints or questions both in person and on the phone
  

• 
  
• High school diploma or equivalent
  
• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service a plus
  
• Exceptional listening and communication skills
  
• Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods
  
• Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  
• A polite, engaging personality and a commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence

• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
  
• Must have a good sense of balance and bend, kneel, and react swiftly to actions surrounding them
  
• Must have the ability to lift bus pans, trays, cases of food and beverage weighing as much as 30 pounds
