Position Summary:
We are seeking enthusiastic and sociable individuals to join our team as part-time Wine Tasting Room Specialists. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals eager to contribute to the growth of a premium wine brand.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitate an engaging and enjoyable wine tasting experience for guests.
2. Maintain a friendly and respectful demeanor towards customers and colleagues.
3. Welcome all visitors and provide wine tastings.
4. Create memorable experiences for guests through storytelling.
5. Conduct offsite tastings at local accommodations.
6. Answer inquiries regarding our wines and winery knowledgeably.
7. Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system.
8. Assist in the display and stocking of retail items and wines.
9. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the tasting room.
10. Support special events as required.
Qualifications:
- Outgoing personality with a passion for customer interaction.
- Knowledge of premium wines or a willingness to learn.
- Desire to understand the Stressed Vines Cellars story and the wine industry.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Must obtain and maintain a current CA ABC Pouring Certificate.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Adaptability to change in a growing winery environment.
- Results-driven with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Keep, and Gmail.
- Familiarity with Commerce 7 and Tock is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for working in an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity and strong relationship skills are essential.
- Must be comfortable around dogs, as our winery dogs will be present.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in a retail environment.
Compensation:
- $25.00/hr plus commissions and bonuses.
- Employee discounts on wine purchases.
