Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CT Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of procedures applying ionizing radiation, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procedure Performance: Identify patients and procedures, communicate with nursing or physician concerning patient, inform nursing of patients that need IV sedation or biopsies, and fill out CT questionnaire and female questionnaire on all patients between the ages of 12-55 years old.
  • Patient Positioning and Scanning: Position patients accurately for all CT procedures, transfer and position patients correctly for anatomy to be demonstrated for best visibility, and know scanning protocols in depth.
  • Study Completion and Archiving: Write time procedure is finished and filmed on patient board, films must be archived and taken to radiologist for reading, and obtain appropriate supplies and prepares room for patient.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Explain CT procedure to patient and/or family member, obtain completed questionnaire and proper history and clinical from patient, floor or physician's office, and train co-workers and students.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate the PAC's system appropriately, verify studies before sending to archive, and report equipment problems to supervisor, in-charge tech, and document confirmation numbers.
Requirements:
  • Certification: Graduate of accredited Radiologic Technology program with ARRT certification in CT.
  • Registration and Licenses: ARRT Registered and registered in CT, SCQRSA License, and CPR certified.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent customer service skills, 3D Imaging preferred, basic computer skills, knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier), data entry, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:

This position is located at the Laurens County Medical Campus and requires a Night shift schedule.
