Maintenance Technician

VMRC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the Park Village buildings and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the Park Village buildings and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
- Adhere to VMRC's safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Three years' experience in the maintenance field is preferred.
- Must have a current Driver's License with an acceptable DMV driving record to obtain authorization on VMRC's Approved Drivers List.
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written assignments in the English language.
- Ability to perform duties with limited supervision; self-motivated.
- Pleasant personality, enjoy working with people, and ability to deal tactfully with others.
- Strong work ethic; fast learner; ability to work quickly and carefully in a safe manner, and motivate others to do the same.
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, lift, carry or handle light weight (1-25 lbs.) materials or equipment frequently.
- Must be able to safely operate all power equipment throughout the VMRC campus.
- Must report to work in uniform.
